Dry conditions over the past 60 days have been an issue across northeastern Montana, northern North Dakota, central and northeastern South Dakota and northern Minnesota. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, 42 percent of North Dakota is dealing with drought. That’s up dramatically from 26 percent the previous week. McHenry County and the surrounding area in north-central North Dakota have the most severe drought conditions.
