Small grain harvest is wrapping up in Pembina County, North Dakota. Crystal farmer Brian O’Toole says wheat harvest went fast. “However, as you move north to the Canadian border, the moisture is lacking. I am not sure where the bushels came from, but we’ve been very blessed this year.” O’Toole adds the quality of the crop has been very good. “Test weights were around 65 pounds and protein ranged from 14-to-17. Everything about this crop should make a nice loaf of bread.”
