Fergus Falls, Minnesota custom harvester David Stock is finished with small grain harvest for the season. “It was really a mixed bag this year,” says Stock. “We started out with very poor wheat in Oklahoma and some better wheat in Nebraska. In South Dakota there was a lot of hail, so it wasn’t our best year by a long shot.” In the Washburn, North Dakota area, Stock says yields were in the 40 bushel-per-acre range. “It was definitely better than last year.”
