AgriGrowth Executive Director Perry Aasness says St. Paul doesn’t have all of the answers and it is important to gain perspective from all corners of the state. At the Fargo meeting, the farm economy was top-of-mind. “Some of the things we’re looking at that in 2019 that might help with that is actually getting a tax bill actually passed and dealing with tax conformity and Section 179 expensing.” Aasness, who is in his final weeks at the helm of AgriGrowth, said agriculture is also focused on the current regulatory environment, water policy and the importance of agricultural research.
