North Dakota State University President Dean Bresciani is asking for funding support for research in the upcoming state legislative session. In a meeting Thursday, Bresciani told Grand Forks businesspeople the goal for NDSU is to change the economic trajectory for the region. “That’s when you need agricultural research more than any other time. We can’t leave ourselves as vulnerable as we are now and we need to look at increasing productivity, increasing transportation, storage capacities, increasing trade and economic development around the world. This is the time that reminds you how critical agriculture is to the State of North Dakota. We can’t afford to fail.”
