The new president and CEO of Land O’ Lakes, Beth Ford, has big plans for the cooperative. Ford says the co-op will prioritize innovation and digital tools. “Developing and continuing to deliver innovation to continue to grow the businesses would be the vision that I have; a growth business and a growth industry focused on doing the good work that we’re focused on which is feeding human progress, but really, feeding a growing world population.” Ford says a delayed planting season is impacting parts of the business. In the second quarter results, there was a decrease in net earnings for the cooperative. Consolidation also plays a part in that moving forward. Listen to Ford’s conversation with RRFN.
