June milk production increased 1.3 percent in the 23 major dairy states. In Minnesota, milk production declined less than one percent, influenced by a drop in the size of the cow herd. South Dakota cow numbers went up and production rose over four percent. Wisconsin milk output was up 1.2 percent in June. California increased a fraction of one percent.
