In North Dakota, SY Ingmar is the leading spring wheat variety for 2018. This variety accounts from more than 20 percent of acres planted in the state. SY Valda is second with nearly nine percent of the acres. SY Soren is ranked third, followed by Barlow, Bolles and Faller. This report from the North Dakota Agricultural Statistics Service lists Joppa as the most popular barley variety, ahead of Divide and Carpio. Jerry is the leading winter wheat variety in North Dakota, with Decade and Peregrine ranked second and third.
