Crop emergence has been spotty in a fields near the Britton, South Dakota area. DuWayne Bosse says it’s been dry. “We didn’t get that rain right after we planted, which normally corrects some mistakes. There’s a few areas that you can see where seed sat in dry dirt,” says Bosse. “And now, since we’ve had the rains, the plants are starting to come up. Maybe not the best emergence I’ve ever seen, that’s for sure.”
