Crop emergence in the Eden, South Dakota area was about as good as can be expected, according to Curtis Samson of Muskrat Farm Supply. “Crops got in really quite well, but a little late, probably one week to ten days longer than we expected. Emergence looks probably as good as you can expect and everything’s up and going.” The first pass of weed control is wrapping up on the corn. “In fact, farmers are going to finish up, because the way the corn is growing, the corn will be canopied by the end of this week.”
