Livestock producers across North Dakota are recovering from the 2017 drought, which has been a topic of discussion at the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Spring Roundups. NDSA President Warren Zenker says it’s been nice to see green grass. “I know in southwest and north-central North Dakota, they’ve been short of rain. However, they’ve recently picked up some moisture,” says Zenker. “Last year at this time, conditions looked dismal. This year, it’s looking like we’ll have a hay crop instead of worrying about short supplies or LFP payments.”
