Dry bean planting is nearing completion in the Grand Forks area. Thompsons USA Limited manager Jim Vrolyk is happy with the crop. “We had some nice heat, some nice moisture. If anything, it is a little bit on the dry side, but we’re off to a pretty good start.” Vrolyk says navy bean acres are somewhat stable, pinto acres are down and black bean acres are up.
