As the crop emerges, weeds are coming up at the same time. Arysta LifeScience Territory Manager Todd Landsman says weed pressure is evident. “A lot of guys in wheat country are on pins and needles because the subsoil is dry. That makes it important to take care of weeds so they aren’t competing with the crop.” Landsman says there is a strategy for managing weeds. “Use a product that has good residual quality so when we do get rainfall and weeds germinate, there is chemical in place so the roots can take it in and knock that flush of weeds out.” In particular, Landsman is recommending Everest 3.0 from Arysta LifeScience.
