The Trump Administration is sending a high-profile delegation to China for trade negotiations. “We’re having (Treasury) Secretary (Steven) Mnuchin and (U.S. Trade Representative) Bob Lighthizer heading over to China at China’s request and we’re having very substantial discussions on trade,” said President Donald Trump. In addition to Mnuchin and Lighthizer, the Trump delegation includes National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow and White House trade advisor Peter Navaro. Trade tensions between the U.S. and China have escalated with significant tariffs proposed for U.S. soybeans, pork and other commodities. This trip is being touted as an opportunity to ease the trade tensions between the two super-powers.
