Harkin Honored for Service to Agriculture
The National Farmers Union presented former Iowa Senator Tom Harkin with its Award for Meritorious Service to American Agriculture. Harkin is a past chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee and shepherded the passage of the 2008 farm bill.
