Farmers are beginning to receive payments under the expanded Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs. Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman John Boozman and House Agriculture Committee Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson said the changes provide an additional $13.8 billion in ARC and PLC support. The updates include higher reference prices, changes to payment limitations and the addition of 30 million new base acres. The lawmakers said the additional support more than doubles what producers were expected to receive before the changes
