The U.S. Senate returns to Washington, D.C. today and the Senate Agriculture Committee is scheduled to meet this week for another farm bill vote. The big question mark is if Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell will back to work. McConnell was hospitalized in June and has been absent ever since. Without McConnell, the ag committee is split between Republicans and Democrats 11-to-11 and the fate of the farm bill is up in the air.
