NDSU Extension has released its commodity price projections for 2019. Soybean prices are forecast to decline. The short-term 2019-2020 price for soybeans is expected to be at $8.10 per bushel, down from the this past year’s price of $8.37. Corn is forecast to be at $3.30 per bushel, which compares to $3.13 per bushel this past year. The projected price for spring wheat is $5.60, up from $5.18 per bushel for the 2018-2019 marketing year. Durum prices are forecast to be more than $1 higher than last year at $6 per bushel. Oil sunflowers and canola are projected to be up. For livestock, 400-to-500 pound feeder calves are projected to be at $185 per hundredweight, down $2.67 from this past year.
