The Midwest Council on Agriculture is supporting legislation to modernize the country’s ag labor system. The Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act makes adjustments in the H-2A program. It would allow year-round operations, such as dairy farms, to participate in the program. It adopts recent wage rate reforms and simplifies the process with an online platform. MWCA joins more than 35 state and national farm groups endorsing this proposal.
