In the southern Red River Valley, Wyndmere, North Dakota farmer Carson Klosterman said planting is nearly complete across Richland County. “Last week was a pretty solid week for everybody and a lot of stuff got squared up and finished up.” Klosterman said recent rain delays were welcomed after strong winds caused blowing soil concerns, especially in sugarbeets. While some replanting may occur in isolated areas, he said deeper beet planting likely reduced damage potential this spring.
