According to the Duke University Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Global Business Outlook survey, nearly half of U.S. CFOs expect an economic recession to hit the U.S. economy by the end of 2019. Survey director Campbell Harvey says a tight labor market and growing trade tensions are driving the economic jitters. Harvey also says more than 80 percent of U.S. CFOs thinks a recession will hit by the end of 2020.
