U.S. District Judge John Tunheim has ruled against a group of cow-calf producers from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee. These farmers claimed Tyson Foods, JBS, Cargill and National Beef Packing conspired in 2015 to limit fed cattle trade and reduce cattle prices. Tunheim said the cow-calf producers do not have a standing in this case because they were not directly impacted by the downturn in fed cattle prices nearly ten years ago.
