After reviewing the latest StatsCan report, DTN Canadian Grains Analyst Cliff Jamieson was focused on the tight stocks. “Durum stocks are forecast to be the lowest since the mid-1980s. Durum and oat stocks are forecast to reach record lows and canola stocks are also going to be incredibly tight.” Jamieson says there are many good crop options this year for Canadian farmers, in terms of potential returns and solid demand.
