The dairy markets are doing well to just hold steady right now, according to Ag Resource Company Economist Dan Basse. “We believe as we head into the latter part of summer and start to see milk production increasing for seasonal reasons, prices still come down. There’s no bullish outlook as we see it at the moment unless we can solve some of these trade issues that are surrounding the dairy industry.” Basse says the goal is to open up the China market, but that could take time. “We all need to be patient and hope the Trump administration has a plan for this going forward, but we kind of see dairy trapped in a $12.50 to $16 market through the end of the year.”
