Weather is favorable for harvest in the northern plains. World Weather Incorporated Senior Agriculture Meteorologist Drew Lerner says there isn’t a big rain expected for a while. “The biggest thing I see on the horizon that would have some impact, not so much on the harvest as much as it will be for late season crops, is a bunch of heat coming up. I think next week at this time, we’re going to be pretty hot. I think the dryness will continue. We’ve been expanding this drought back southward from parts of Canada’s prairies into Montana and North Dakota and I think that’s going to continue to expand for a little while.”
