World Weather Incorporated Senior Agricultural Meteorologist Drew Lerner expects to see moisture coming across the Northern Plains this spring. “There will be a cool bias to start in the eastern part of the Dakotas and Minnesota, but it will be warmer further west. The temperature contrast will help feed the moisture potential. Precipitation will come and go and I don’t expect prolonged periods of dryness during the planting season.” Lerner says by late spring, western North Dakota should see improving conditions.
