Crops near Ashley, North Dakota are recovering from hail damage earlier this month. Maverick Ag owner Mark Rohrich says the soybeans and corn are popping back up from the storm. “A lot of the hail came straight down and stripped the corn leaves, but did leave the tassels on stalks intact. The soybeans are able to come back in spots.” Rohrich says the corn is 10-to-14 days ahead of normal. “The beans are also growing on pace. They need to step it up a little bit, but early August is when they really seem to do their thing.” Photo by Mark Rohrich.
