An authonomus solution to rock picking was demonstrated during the Ag Equipment Expo near Crookston. “Long-term, we’re going to have a fully autonomous rock-roomba,” said Heidi Lindsley, marketing director, Terraclear. At this point, high-resolution imagry is available to identify the size and location of rocks within the field. A rock picker can also be added to a farmers’ compact loader to selectively pick rocks and avoid equipment damage. “This allows you to be more efficient in using labor to get rid of the rocks that are needed.” Click on this link for video.
