The 19th Annual North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Feedlot Tour takes place tomorrow. The tour will made stops at feedlots in southeastern North Dakota near Kathryn at Sorby Ranch, Bartholomay Feedlot at Sheldon and Swenson Stock Farm at Walcott. North Dakota Stockmen’s Association Environmental Services Director Scott Ressler says this year’s tour has a different flare. “With these tough winters in the state, there has been a lot of interest in hoop barns. That’s why this year’s tour is centered around that kind of setup,” says Ressler. “The tour will visit permitted lots that have completed environmental regulations that address animal feeding.” Ressler says anybody and everybody interested in the cattle feeding industry are invited to attend. Buses and vehicles will depart from the Winter Show Building in Valley City at 8 a.m. Listen to the story.
