President Biden is now indicating he would accept a $1 trillion infrastructure bill. That’s down from his original proposal of $2.7 trillion in new spending. The price tag remains a concern for Senate Republicans. The tax changes needed to pay for the infrastructure bill remains a big hurdle. On Twitter, Budget Committee Chair Bernie Sanders said the Democrats should move forward on their own and pass the bill through the reconciliation process.
