Thursday evening, the Dakota Precision Ag Center at Lake Region State College hosted an event dedicated to agriculture. Guests heard from Myriad Mobile co-founder Ryan Raguse on the future of technology in agriculture. In addition, students hosted an indoor plot tour. Precision Ag Program Director Preston Sundeen says the goal was for students to apply classroom knowledge to a real-life setting. “The students went through staging, as well as disease, insect and weed identifications,” says Sundeen. “This put them in the environment to talk to producers and realize how the information gets put to use. I walked by a couple of booths, and the producers wanted more and kept asking questions.”
