Northland Community and Technical College Farm Business Management Instructor Betsy Jensen says farmers are changing up what they’re going to plant in northwest Minnesota. “With our family seed company, wheat sales are down from the last few years. I think there will be less wheat going in our area. Farmers are looking at the numbers on the board and thinking wheat isn’t the best on there.” Jensen says it’s been a while since corn and soybean prices have been this high. “It’s a big deal and unfamiliar territory, too. Corn was limit up and limit down within 24 hours. If you’re trying to make sense of this market, you’re wasting time. My best advice is to enjoy it and keep making those sales.”
