The crop protection company, ADAMA, reports annual net income of $51 million. That’s up from $43 million one year earlier. Sales of crop protection products in the U.S. and Canada in the fourth quarter rose, helped by strong demand for fall burndown herbicides. In its year-end report, ADAMA said prices for active ingredients in China declined during much of 2020. However, those prices began to increase at the end of the year. The higher cost for active ingredients and raw materials is a trend that is continuing into 2021.
