Former Decatur, Michigan farmer Michael Stamp has been sentenced to eight years in prison and must pay $23 million in restitution. Stamp was convicted for bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the federal crop insurance program. The court is ordering Stamp to pay $17 million to Wells Fargo and $6 million to USDA’s Risk Management Agency.
