Rabobank Senior Animal Protein Analyst Christine McCracken says rising feed costs may become an issue for the pork and poultry sectors in 2021. “It may impact the availability and costs of protein going forward. Higher corn and meal will be a big deal for the turkey and pork sectors,” explains McCracken. “We aren’t expecting to see a shift in feed choices, but higher costs. This will influence bird weights and perhaps bring higher protein prices for consumers.”
