CHS finished its fiscal year with net income of more than $422 million. That compares to 2019 net income of nearly $830 million. Margins improved across the cooperative’s agricultural business segment, including gains in the grain and oilseed and renewable fuel business. An improvement in the weather for spring planting drove earnings across much of the ag segment in the second half of the fiscal year. The refined fuel business was hurt by COVID-19 and the negative impact on demand.
