Minnesota Governor Tim Walz took questions during his address to the Minnesota Ag and Food Summit. Climate change was one of the topics that came from the audience. Walz said there are opportunities for agriculture, however, “everything has become so politically or culturally charged that people make up their minds already.” Walz said climate change does not need to be an ‘either-or’ situation. “From an ag production standpoint, we probably have the best potential to make a positive impact around climate change as any industry while increasing new markets.”
