National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Director of International Trade and Market Access Kent Bacus says China is a relatively new market for U.S. beef. “We’re hopeful this dialogue that’s been established will have net positives for both sides. At the end of the day, we’re dependent on each other. Trade retaliation is never really the best path to success.” Overall, Bacus says there is a lot of demand for U.S. agricultural goods in China. “The sky is the limit to our potential in China.”
