Campbell Farms owner Greg Campbell says field conditions are dry from Grafton to Cavalier, North Dakota. However, it’s not too dry to make planting progress, and fresh potato planting should wrap up soon. “In the fresh business, we like to spread planting out four to five weeks. We’re on the last 25 percent of potatoes,” says Campbell. “I’d also like to plant some late reds into next week. We’re on schedule to finish planting potatoes next week.” Campbell also plans to finish edible beans this week, with just organic hemp left to planted in the last week of May.
