Cash grain basis bids at the six regional grain elevators followed by the Red River Farm Network widened in the last two weeks of 2019 as futures prices improved. The net cash price of 14 percent protein spring wheat improved 20 to 50 cents ranging from $5.05 per bushel at New Salem, North Dakota to $5.52 at Ulen, Minnesota. Cash corn basis ranged from 50 to 90 cents under the March with cash prices, improving 20 to 30 cents ranging from $3.01 in Minot, to $3.41 at Grebnor, South Dakota and Ulen, Minnesota. Soybean basis ranges from 65 cents under the March at Grebnor to $1.20 under at Minot. Cash soybean prices improved 40 to 60 cents ranging from $8.38 at Minot to $8.93 at Grebnor. CHS Southwest at New Salem has no bid for corn or soybeans right now.
