Farmers in eastern North Dakota made significant harvest progress after several days of favorable weather. Mayville area farmer Brent Kohls has shifted his focus to corn. ” From expectations going into this thing, we knew it was going to be variable and it’s it sure has been just that,” Kohls told RRFN. “Thankfully, we’ve got some acres that are spread out into Traill and Steele (counties) and you could tell where some fields got rains with the yields at APH; Other than that, where we knew we were going to be challenged with yields, it’s been a real disappointment.” Kohls is more than 60 percent finished with the corn despite planting his largest corn acreage ever.
