Corn and soybeans are testing the upper end of their trading ranges. Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson says soybeans are challenging the $13 mark, while corn is holding above $4.95. The stronger U.S. dollar remains a concern. Martinson says the dollar is trading near its highs for the year and continues to create a headwind for commodity markets. Wheat lands in the “not hot” category. Martinson says wheat remains near the lower end of its trading range despite friendly reports and continued Black Sea uncertainty.
