With the turn of the calendar to October, Corteva has separated its seed and ag chem businesses. The seed and trait company is now known as Vylor and is the parent company for Pioneer, Brevant and Hoegemeyer seed brands. With the split, 15 states and Guam have sued Corteva claiming the company transferred assets without taking responsibility for liabilities connected with PFAS forever chemicals. Corteva originated with the DuPont/Dow restructuring years ago and the states claim the company is liable for environmental contamination and potential health risks.
