Argentina is seeing a major increase in corn exports as disruptions in the Black Sea reshape global grain trade. Argentina could export 10 million metric tons of corn during August and September, more than triple the normal volume for the period. The country is harvesting a record 71.7 million metric ton corn crop, nearly 20 percent above its previous record. Russian attacks disrupting Ukrainian grain shipments have opened additional export opportunities for Argentina. Argentine corn shipments to North Africa are already up 45 percent this year.
