Near New Salem, North Dakota, Jim Bahm said recent rainfall has helped pastures recover after livestock producers were forced to haul water. “Pastures are greening up again,” Bahm said. “They were really starting to hurt and guys were hauling water up to some pastures.” Silage chopping is underway in the region.
