A federal judge has rejected an attempt to block USDA’s reorganization. A coalition that includes unions and nonprofit groups, is behind the legal challenge. The judge said the plaintiffs could not amend the lawsuit they filed last year but did clear the path for a separate lawsuit. The Agriculture Department is downsizing and moving many USDA agencies to regional hubs across the country.
