North Border Seed and Crop Consulting’s Mark Torno says the corn sampled during the Red River Farm Network Crop Tour, presented by Pioneer, received about eight inches of rain and has an estimated yield potential of around 125 bushels per acre. “I definitely feel we’re fortunate,” Torno said. “We had a couple of rains that came just in time when it was coming right up against extreme stress.” Canola conditions are more variable.
