International Joint Commission Commissioner Lance Yohe says cooperation between all levels of government remains essential for managing water resources in the Red River Basin. The IJC includes representatives from the U.S. and Canada who manage water resources. “Policies sometimes change depending on elections, but the issues in the environment don’t change,” Yohe said. “What’s happening on the land, what’s happening on the water, what farmers need, what communities need, that doesn’t change.”
