Pro Farmer is estimating the 2026 U.S. corn crop at 15.3 billion bushels. That compares to USDA’s latest estimate of 16 billion bushels. The average corn yield is projected at 173.2 bushels per acre. The soybean crop is in line with the last USDA forecast, with U.S. production estimated at 4.57 billion bushels. The most recent USDA soybean production estimate is 4.51 billion bushels. Pro Farmer is forecasting an average soybean yield of 53.3 bushels per acre. In addition to its crop tour, Pro Farmer considers crop maturity, soil moisture, disease and crop prospects outside of its tour area for the national crop estimate.
