New World Screwworm has been confirmed in the state of Sonora in northern Mexico. This five-year-old cow is Sonora’s first confirmed case. It takes on great significance because this state is on the border with Douglas, Arizona. USDA said it remains committed to reopening the border at this Arizona crossing on Monday as scheduled.
